2011 Supernationals
Thank you to all of the club members who gave up 3 days of their lives to entertain and educate folks about the car hobby. “Bonnie and Clyde” and their beautiful Packard posed for pictures for 3 days. A 1930 Caddy gave people a look into the past. The 4-Wheelers, with their high big wheel Jeeps, drew a lot of attention, especially the young ladies, and were able to stress safety with family fun and adventure. Bill spent nearly 2 days trying out a 4 step buffing technique on his yellow convertible. He drew a large crowd and may well be able to parlay this presentation into a full time job!!! 2 vehicles were memorial cars and showed yet another side to vehicle restoration and ownership. We had several beautifully restored cars and trucks with owners present to share their stories with visitors. The Route 66 Association featured a display to promote their Route 66 Motor Tour from Tucumcari to Gallup. A wonderful way to learn about the history on the Mother Road. Thank you to the 17 vehicle owners, the Southwest Packards, the Route 66 Association. the Rickshaws, the GTO’s, the NM 4-Wheelers, the Lincoln Club, the F-Body Club, the Classic Chevy Club, the non-club member vehicles, and a very special thanks to the OLD CAR CLUB. What a great presentation!
