The Albuquerque Museum and the New Mexico Council of Car Clubs invite you to participate in the 28th Annual Automobile Show. This year’s theme will be “Celebrating 100 Years of Chevrolet”. Chevrolets will be featured in a special area, but all makes of vehicles are welcome and eligible for awards. If you wish to be part of the special Chevrolet display, please contact us. You must pre-arrange placement in order to be part of the special display.

Only vehicles at least 25 years of age (1987 and older) will be eligible for trophies, but newer vehicles may be displayed.

The show will be held at The Albuquerque Museum in Old Town, 2000 Mountain Road NW, on Sunday, May 20, 2012, in the parking lot directly in front of the Museum and on 19th Street.

The show is open to: antique, vintage, classic, sports, exotic, special interest, and modified automobiles. Trucks, motorcycles, motor scooters, tractors, and vintage campers are welcome to participate. Only vehicles of 1987 and older vintage will be eligible for awards.

The entry fee for each vehicle is $10.00, payable at the entrance to the show. There is no pre-registration. Approximately 80 awards will be distributed. Vehicles newer than 1987 will be entered for Display Only; older vehicles may also be entered for Display Only if the owner so desires. The $10.00 entry fee still applies, and the car must be registered at the Registration Table. Entrance to the show will be at Old Town Rd. and 19th St. No trailers are allowed in the show areas or on Old Town Rd. Please check with Joyce at 884-7912, if you have an oversized vehicle, for special instructions. Register from 8:30am to 10:30am on the front sidewalk of the Museum. Please, no cars in the parking lot before 7:00am If owners of vehicles want to park together, they must arrive together; no saving of spaces. An exception will be made for cars pre-arranged for placement in the special display.

No tents or canopies are allowed on the show field or 19th St. by order of the fire marshall. Shade umbrellas are welcome. No stakes may be pounded into the lawn or parking areas. If you have questions, please contact us. Cars are to remain in place until 3:30pm.

There will be a Toy and Model Vehicle Display and an Auto Art exhibited in the Special Events Room inside the Museum. Anyone may enter a display free of charge. The area will be supervised all during the show. There is no entry fees for toys, models or art, and ribbons will be awarded to entrants. No admission will be charged to see these exhibits, but regular Museum admission will be charged to see the remainder of the Museum.

Two free Museum general admission passes are included with your registration packet, compliments of the NMCCC, good through June 10, 2012. Museum exhibition information is included in this packet.
