The Corvair, built by General Motors/Chevrolet from 1960 to 1969, is a unique American car with a rear-mounted, air-cooled engine. It was built as 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, convertible, station wagon, pickup truck, and utility van. Perhaps the most famous Corvair was the 1962-1964 turbo-supercharged ”Spyder” models. Corvair owners joined together to share in the maintenance, preservation and enjoyment of this vehicle. There is an international parent organization, the CORVAIR SOCIETY OF AMERICA or ”CORSA” of which we are a chapter. We share information on tune-ups, maintenance and parts and meet for events such as garage tours, tune-up and maintenance sessions, and social gatherings.
