McLaughlin-Mustang Owners Club/ATHS-NM Chapter.
Treasurer’s Report- Ron Rymarz reports that our financial situation as of this date is fine.
Old Business:
Web Site Update-David Pachak-Robie reported that our web site is pretty much the same as when last reported. However he is seeing more activity now that the car show season has started.
Albuquerque Museum Car Show-Joyce Clements reported that the trophies and dash plaques have already arrived. She passed around a volunteer list showing what people have volunteered for and which areas we need more volunteers to work in. We are going to stuff goodie bags at our next monthly meeting which will be held early on May 15, 2013 at the Old Car Garage starting at 7:00 PM.
Spring Thaw Open House-Bob Agnew reported that over $6000.00 was raised for the Cuidando los Ninos (clnKids) charity at this event. Bob also wanted to thank all the people who showed up to support this worthy cause. He was also thankful that all the food was eaten at the party and they didn’t have to deal with leftovers at the shop.
Large Cooler Replacement-Bob Agnew also spoke about damage to two of his very large coolers and how he would like to replace them. The Car Council uses these coolers for many of its activities. Bob asked for a motion to replace the coolers at a cost of $165.00 apiece. The motion was made and seconded, and the Council representatives present voted in favor of reimbursing Bob for the cost of two new coolers.
All Clubs Picnic- Louie Paul reported that the facility has been lined up and that we have some very nice door prizes to give away at the event. He also reported that event flyers are being made up as we speak.
Cruise and Schmooze Car Show-Su Rymarz reported that between 130-140 cars showed up for the Annual Cruise and Schmooze Car Show held at the Sonic Drive In on San Mateo on April 20th.
Buick-Olds-Pontiac Car Show at Quality Buick on Lomas-Stan Kravitz reported that there was a good turnout of cars at this show held on April 21, 2013.
New Business-
President Gary Zimmerman has resigned his post and the present slate of officers was asked what their feelings were on running for another term in office. Some responded that they thought it was time for a change and they thought it would be nice for some new candidates to come forward. The club representatives were asked to think about coming up with a list of candidates that could be presented at our next monthly meeting on May 15, 2013 for elections to be held in June.
At this point the meeting was brought to a close. Paul G. McLaughlin
Secretary
